Paediatric Nutrition

I am a registered children’s dietitian with 18 years’ experience. I set up RW Dietetics in 2020 alongside my NHS job at the children’s hospital.

I work alongside several private Paediatric Consultants, and I offer face to face, and virtual consultations for any children aged 0-18 years.

Qualifications

With specialist expertise in paediatrics; food allergies, gastrointestinal conditions, blended diets and intestinal failure, Rachel qualified at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Dietetics.

Having spent the last 12 years working in Sheffield and Manchester children’s hospitals, including being part of the specialist Allergy and Gastroenterology services at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Rachel is an expert dietitian, with a passion for teaching and education.

Rachel has worked with the RCPCH, running their allergy modules and has presented at RCGP events as well as National and International conferences. She is a key member of the North West Allergy group developing resources with a drive to support Primary care services and improve the management of infants and children with Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy through early diagnosis and the appropriate use of restricted diets.
